A normal question on a Thursday for mothers is, “Mami, what are you making for this Shabbos?”, “Are we baking Challos for Shabbos?”

For many families in Antwerp, those questions burn. They can not afford food for Shabbos.

That is where we come in to the picture, Tomchei Shabbos Of Antwerp – Chasdei Dovid delivers discreetly boxes of Grape Juice, Fish, Chicken, Vegetables, Oil, Flour, Sugar together with other basic necessities for the family. Boxes get delivered without any labels and looking like any regular shop delivery to keep the recipients totally anonymous.

We also fill with more than the Shabbos meals as it got to a point where the families used the boxes before Shabbos as they were starving hungry and could not wait till Shabbos.

Now in this difficult economic times more and more families are requesting our weekly assistance but we just don’t have the budget for them.
